Planning Figures

Deadlines: Field offices will be able to input their planning figures into the templates by 24 March. After 24 March, the planning figures will be available for review and updating by the Bureau. Any changes that may be needed to planning figures based on Bureau feedback can be made after this date by the Bureau. In addition, FICSS in DPSM will be looking at the planning figures for overall consistency and depending on this analysis may also be providing feedback to the Bureau and Operations.

New features include:

1. Data capture is now in three tables (or tabs). One table captures information by country of origin, and a separate table captures this same information by PPG (Population Planning Group). These two table are mandatory. We recommend you start with the first one (by country of origin), and once this is finalized, complete the second table for the populations by PPG. This change was introduced to simplify the capture of data but it may not have lessened data entry requirements.

2. The third table is identical to the second table in last year’s release of the application, capturing more detailed information for specific populations. As for last year, completion of this third table is optional.

3. The user experience has been improved and the application looks and feels more like Excel spreadsheets. You can print or export the tables to Excel.

4. There is built in data validation of the figures entered. You can also compare saved versions.
